Tax Paid Shopping

The visitor pays Duty and VAT in a Deferred Duty and Tax Scheme (DDTS) or VAT in a VAT Paid Supplies (VPS) shop and get a refund at the MCCI Tax Refund counter at the airport. To that end he has to inform the shop operator of his nationality, foreign passport number, date of departure and flight number that will be input on the sales receipt.

Tax Free Shopping

The visitor pays his goods Tax Free and is delivered at the MCCI Tax Refund counter at the Airport for hand-carried goods. For oversized articles, the goods are delivered in the check-in area with prior arrangement with the shop operator and MCCI. The visitor has to give his nationality, foreign passport number, date of departure and flight number that will be input on the sales receipt.
